Natives of Central Asia and Dagestan have appeared among the 40 persons, who were arrested in the Turkish Izmir province in connection with the terrorist attack in Istanbul, RIA Novosti reports, citing Hurriyet.

Earlier, 27 people were arrested as a result of the operation carried out Wednesday morning.

According to the newspaper, among the detainees are mainly nationals of Dagestan, as well as Central Asia—nine men with their families.

As reported earlier, members of three families, some of which lived in the city of Konya, in the same house as the architect of the Istanbul attack in Istanbul, were arrested in Izmir.

Turkish FM Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that the criminal has been identified.
