YEREVAN. - Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has sent a congratulatory letter to his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on the occasion of Christmas. 

The letter reads as follows:

''Dear Dmitry Anatolyevich,

I warmly congratulate you on Christmas, wishing success and prosperity to you and the friendly Russian people. Our peoples are linked not only by traditionally built ally and strategic relations but [also] by simple and sincere human ties.

I am sure that our joint efforts, which are aimed at the further deepening of the economies of Armenia and Russia, will yield tangible results, giving new impetus to our cooperation.''
