YEREVAN. – In 2017, we will at least maintain and exceed the export rates we had in 2016.

Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, Suren Karayan, told the aforementioned to reporters, after Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

“We will have growth rates regarding our investments,” he noted. “We carried out considerable work in the last quarter of 2016, we prepared the [respective] arena, and we expect to have a major growth in 2017, in both economic growth and all indicators of economic activity.

“We reviewed the economic development model, and we place the main emphasis so that our economy develops based on offer; that is, proceeding from the peculiarities of Armenia being [a] small [country], we place the stress on [the fact] that the economy [of Armenia] needs to develop on the account of [its] exports.”
