Currently, three nuclear plants operate in Taiwan. The nuclear plants account for 14% of the total electricity produced. According to the document, the government will support the development of solar and wind energy, the share of which by 2025 should reach 20%. However, experts point, that the new energy policy might bring to unstable power supplies, increase of prices and make it difficult to decrease carbon emissions in Taiwan.
