The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has come up with another absurd accusation against the Armenian side.

This time the Azerbaijani defense agency decided to accuse the Armenian armed forces of allegedly dropping “a home-made explosive near the border with Azerbaijan in the country’s Tovuz district,” the Azerbaijani media outlets report, citing the country’s Defense Ministry.

The statement concocted under the influence of wine fumes, points that “after the explosive devise was defused, it was found that it consists of an electric detonator, a detonating cord, batteries for its activating and metal elements.  It is also mentioned that “the Armenian side uses such explosives to damage the Azerbaijani army personnel as well as civilians, living in the border areas.”

The authors of this opus are most likely not discomposed about the divergence of their own statements. It is unclear what the justifications of the Azerbaijani agency are in principally claiming that the drone, if such existed, was of “an Armenian origin.”

No investigation was conducted: speculations alone are more than enough. But the most interesting is yet to come: among the mentioned elements of the alleged “explosive device,” for some reason the device itself is not mentioned. That is, there was actually no explosive device, or, at least, the authors of the opus forgot to add it. It is also not very clear how the electric detonator turned out to be “home-made.”

Commenting on the absurd statement upon the request of Armenian News – NEWS.am the, Spokesperson for the Armenian Defense Ministry, Artsun Hovhannisyan, noted laconically: “Fear takes molehills for mountains.”
