China and Vietnam agreed to find ways of resolving the dispute over the South China Sea, reports Xinhua. According to the source, the parties issued an appropriate communique on Saturday, during the visit of the Secretary General of Vietnam Communist Party Nguyen Phu Trong to China.

According to the communique, the sides exchanged views on issues related to the South China Sea and committed to find solutions, which will function on long-term bases.

The parties also agreed to follow the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea and sign the code based on consensus, as soon as possible.
