YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Monday chaired a consultation on the impementation process and future actions of the ''Armenia's Jurisdiction'' program adjunct to the President of Armenia.
At the outset of the consultation, which was attended by the members of the program council, President Sargsyan referred to the tasks and activity priorities set before the Board.
''I think time it's time for us to more actively involve international companies, different specialists and gifted people in the development of Armenia, as well as take part in the division of labor more substantially. To make Armenia more attractive for the international business, we should breathe new life into the reforms carried out in the judicial, financial and tax spheres and improve our business environment more vigorously, which will enable to invigorate the development of and reforms in our country in near future,'' he noted, adding that on November 30, he ratified the legislative package adopted by the National Assembly, according to which Armenia has liberalized the opportunities of legal persons to move to and outside the country.
''In fact, ''Armenia's Jurisdiction'' Board is holding its first plenary session today. I think we are all aware of its objectives. I simply believe that we should examine the international practice more deeply, and create the real image of Armenia and favorable jurisdiction for legal persons and companies, taking as a basis the attractiveness and privileges of Armenia, the capacities of our poeple and, first of all, our youth, as well as the role of Armenians in the world,'' Sargsyan said.
The President also expressed conviction that Armenia's membership to the EAEU, as well as the growing participation of the country in the EU programs play a great role here as well.
''But I would like to reiterate that the position adopted by us on countering money laundering, not tolerating the financing of criminal activity and contributing to the international efforts aimed against fiscal piracy and at the transparency of financial sphere remains unaltered,'' the President stressed.
Afterwards, memebrs of ''Armenia's Juridiction'' Board reported to the President on the implementation process of the instructions enshrined by the President's order.
