The servicemen of the Armenian and Georgian armed forces are taking part in 25-day exercises, which have kicked off in the Sachkhere Mountain Training School (Imeriti region of Georgia), Sputnik-Грузия reports, citing the press-service of the Georgian Defense Ministry.

The decision on the participation of the Armenian servicemen in the exercises was adopted during Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan's visit to Tbilisi in December last year. Apart from Armenian and Georgian servicemen, those from Lithuania and France—overall 14 people—are taking part in them.

The winter exercises consist of two stages. The servicemen will first improve the tactics of firing from a service weapon in the mountainous landscape of Orfolo shooting range. During the second stage of exercises, the servicemen will visit Guduari ski resort, where they will have to run accelarated march on skis, build shelters, organize search of people wounded as a result of avalanching, as well as their evacuation.

By the end of the training course, the servicemen will receive certificates and badges.
