The talks on Syria to held in Astana must be seen as a prelude to the final settlement of the conflict, announced the  Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, reports IRNA.

According to him, Iran is satisfied with the cease-fire in Syria and plans to conduct serious talks in this situation. "Iran, Russia, and Turkey made efforts to hold a meeting over Syria in the capital of Kazakhstan. The main objective of the negotiations is to maintain the ceasefire, "said Rouhani, stressing, that Iran is seeking to achieve a political settlement in the Syrian conflict.
