Clashes accrued between anti-Trump protesters and the police in Washington on January 19. As eyewitnesses reported, the clashes  began outside the “DeploraBall” at the National Press Club, where Trump's supporters gathered for inauguration dinner,  DW reported.

It was claimed that the police sprayed tear gas and used batons. At least one of protesters was injured.

Earlier it was reported that thousands of people took to the streets of New York and Washington to express their displeasure with U.S President-elect Donald Trump’s coming administration. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, Hollywood stars were among those to also address protesters.
