YEREVAN. – The representatives of ICRC Delegation in Baku visited Arsen Baghdasaryan January 18 and provided him with an opportunity to exchange family news, representative of ICRC office in NKR Eteri Musaelyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The visit was conducted in line with the standard ICRC procedures. According to its mandate, the ICRC visits detainees to monitor their treatment and conditions of detention and help to ensure that they are able to maintain contact with their families,” she said.

Arsen Baghdasaryan, an ex-conscript of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army, was taken into Azerbaijan captivity on December 26, 2-14. Moreover, charges were brought against him in Azerbaijan and he was sentenced to 15 years in jail.
