According to Nielsen research firm, 31 million Americans watched Friday’s inauguration of Donald Trump as US President, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

This event was the fifth most viewed US presidential swearing in ever since 1969.

Fortieth US President Ronald Reagan’s inauguration is in first place, as 42 million people had watched it in 1981.

To note, now former US President Barack Obama’s second inauguration in 2013 had 10 million fewer views than Trump’s swearing in.
