YEREVAN. – In all probability, the opposition Haykakan Veratsnund (Armenian Renaissance) Party of Armenia will run alone in the forthcoming parliamentary election in the country.

Party Chairman Arthur Baghdasaryan told about the aforementioned to reporters, after Sunday’s congress of the women’s union of this political force.

“In content, we already are a certain alliance,” he said. “At any rate, our doors are still open [to other political forces]; political consultations are held; let’s see how the final decision will be.

“There will be a [party] congress on February 11, during which we will inform [about] the [respective] final position.”

Baghdasaryan, however, did not specify as to with which political forces these consultations are held, and noted that there is an agreement on the mutual confidentiality of these talks.

“I’ll only say that there are political forces that wish to participate with us in the upcoming political processes [in Armenia],” added the Armenian Renaissance Party leader. “We are at the final phase of these consultations.”
