Gladys Berejiklian has been elected Premier of the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW).

Australian media report that the 46-year-old woman has become the 45th premier of Australia’s largest state, and that she is incoming for Mike Baird.

In her first speech in this capacity, Berejiklian promised to be a leader for everyone.

Subsequently, she responded to the journalists’ questions and, also, reflected on her Armenian roots.

In 2013, Gladys Berejiklian had visited Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), together with a group of members of the NSW Parliament, whereupon she was “blacklisted” by Azerbaijan.
