Syrian peace talks started in Astana. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan distributed materials about the schedule of upcoming Syrian negotiations, Sputnik-Kazakhstan reported.

 The talks began on January 23, at 13:00. Negotiations presumably will be completed on January 24 at 13:00.

Holding a final conference which can begin at 14:00 on January 24 is also planned. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan also noted that the talks will take place in Rixos President Astana hotel behind closed doors.

Representatives of the government of the Syrian Arab Republic, Syrian opposition, Russia, Turkey, Iran, the U.S., as well as Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Syria confirmed their participation in the negotiations.
