PACE President Pedro Agramunt regrets the Assembly failed to succeed in addressing conflicts in the Council of Europe member states.
“Unfortunately, we have not been successful in addressing conflict situations among our member states,” he in his opening statement during the winter session in Strasbourg.
“In April 2016, we saw a dangerous escalation of hostilities on the contact line in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. The situation there still remains highly flammable,” he added.
