YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan met with Philippe Boillat , Director General at Council of Europe Human Rights and Rule of Law Directorate.

During a meeting in Strasbour, the sides agreed to deepen ties and to implement various projects. They also discussed the matter of famous blogger Alexander Lapshin whom Belarus authorities are going to extradite to Azerbaijan. In this context Mr. Tatoyan said the issue is politicized and represents an unacceptable attempt to create a precedent of criminal persecution against those who visited Nagorno-Karabakh.

Ombudsman handed over to Mr.Boillat a report on Azerbaijan’s aggression against the village of Chinari in Tavush region of Armenia.
