YEREVAN. – The election blocs being formed in Armenia are a formality rather than a real process; the mechanism of forming these alliances reveals their real objective, political pundit Armen Badalyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his words, political blocs are usually formed between equal forces with the same foreign political orientation, ideology, and matching human resources.

In this connection, Badalyan argued, however, that the formation of political alliances in Armenia just plays a role of displaying of force.

“From the ideological point of view, there actually are no pro-Western or pro-Russian among the political forces of Armenia,” he stressed, in particular.

The pundit added that political forces in Armenia just want to get into parliament, and nothing more.
