YEREVAN. - Armenian Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan has joined the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

The Minister stated the aforementioned during the program “Horizon”on Shant TV channel.  

“I think that any man holding a political office should under the new Constitution also take up a political responsibility. Being in the team of Premier Karen Karapetyan, I have to take up such a responsibility,” he said.

Earlier, Amiryan refused to join the RPA even after the Premier and new ministers submitted their membership applications. In November, he told journalists that every person should himself decide such issues and that he still has time to think.
