YEREVAN. -- Former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan issued a written statement on January 31 informing that he is terminating his membership to the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) , Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Eduard Sharmazanov told Armenian News - NEWS.am.

Hovik Abrahamyan, one of the veterans of the ruling party, announced his intention to leave the party a few days ago. Though in his initial statement he noted that he would continue to be actively engaged in politics, but his post on Facebook he wrote only about intention to continue to serve the country.
