Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Actions on the Iran nuclear program.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service, the parties discussed the issues of international security and issues of mutual interest related to non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

While discussing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Actions, Russia and Iran confirmed the importance and effectiveness of that mechanism in preservation of the regional and international security.
