The two founders of Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca Juergen Mossack and Ramon Fonseca , who were  involved in last year's Panama Papers scandal in which thousands of documents related to offshore accounts were leaked, were arrested in Panama, BBC reported.

As it became known, Mossack Fonseca partners are linked to corruption and bribery allegations involving Brazil's construction company Odebrecht.

It was also reported that Mossack Fonseca allegedly connected with Brazil’s sprawling Lava Jato corruption scandal.

Ramon Fonseca  accused the president of Panama of taking of bribes from Odebrecht. Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela denied these charges.
