The Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan meet with the representatives of the European Business Association and European companies operating in Armenia. The meeting was attended by the head of the European Commission Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Peter Switalski.

The Prime Minister payed importance to the cooperation between the government and the business sector. "Make sure, that we are resolute to improve the business environment. We consider the involvement of the European business in Armenia very important, in terms of culture, management, and investment. Therefore, we are ready to listen to any of your proposals, " said Karapetyan.

He noted, that the government collected and analyzed investment programs prepared on the results of visits to the region, by the private sector and industry ministries. As a result, 341 programs for a total cost of about $ 3.2 billion have been compiled. They were financed by a variety of sources, particularly from the state budget, municipal budgets, and from the private sector. "This program has funding and partners. In 2017, we intend to carry out the program that will cost $840 million. Currently, the Government is discussing more 779 programs for a total cost of $ 5.3 billion. We consider them logical, and we have made preliminary agreements. They are open for investments ", said Karapetyan.

Switalski thanked the Prime Minister and welcomed the readiness of the Government of Armenia to improve the business environment and willingness to support a variety of issues.

"In the nearest future, the State Revenue Committee will publish a list of law-abiding taxpayers. They will be able to take loans from banks at lower interest rates, thanks to their predictable work.  We will do everything so that the companies which a doing a decent job could get  benefits, " said the head of the government.

In conclusion, the representative of the pension fund Amundi Acba Asset Management said, that the fund management is ready to invest its assets (ie, retirement accounts of citizens) in the real sector, including the development program of the historical center of Gyumri.
