YEREVAN. – The Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia, Davit Tonoyan, on Monday received the representatives from the technical assistance mission of the World Bank.

The objective of the talk was to outline cooperation between the two institutions, and within the framework of the National Disaster Risk Management Program, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The program envisions potential seismic risk assessment and seismic risk mapping, which will be applied in building codes in Armenia. 

The interlocutors also discussed the ongoing activities toward risk management research.

At the end of the talk, the parties conferred on the avenues for expanding the cooperation projects between the said Armenian ministry and the World Bank.
