U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration is negotiating with the Arab allies about having them form a military alliance that would share intelligence with Israel to help counter their mutual foe, Iran, Wall Street Journal reported quoting several Middle Eastern officials.

The noted that the alliance will consist of such counties as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Jordan. Other Arab countries may also join the alliance. The alliance will have a component of the NATO system, implying mutual defense: an attack on one of the members of the union will be perceived as an attack on the whole alliance.
