YEREVAN. – Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Chairman, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, did not head the nationwide electoral list of the party—for the upcoming parliamentary election, and this means that the speculations, according to which the authorities abuse administrative resources, will end.

RPA MP Gagik Minasyan noted the abovementioned at a press conference on Friday.

In his words, even though concerns were voiced repeatedly that the authorities would make use of leverages of pressure, Sargsyan’s decision showed that the authorities want fair competition, and they do not need methods of force during elections.

“There are both seasoned politicians and young—but already experienced—MPs on our list,” added Minasyan.
