Minister of Defense of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan held several talks Friday, within the framework of the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

Sargsyan met with the Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, Raimundas Karoblis. They conferred on the prospects for Armenian-Lithuanian cooperation, including in the defense sector. The participants in this talk noted that there is a great resource for deepening relations between the two countries.

Next, the defense minister of Armenia met with the Minister of National Defense of Poland, Antoni Macierewicz. They expressed a conviction that there is a great resource for deepening bilateral relations in the defense sector. Also, Sargsyan and Macierewicz discussed the contemporary global challenges.

Vigen Sargsyan met also with the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, Martin Stropnický. The two ministers exchanged views on the prospects for Armenian-Czech collaboration in the defense sector. The interlocutors stressed that even though Armenia and the Czech Republic are in different politico-military alliances, this cannot become an obstacle against making bilateral cooperation grow deeper. 

The defense minister of Armenia met also with the Minister of Defense of Lebanon, Yacoub al-Sarraf. The Lebanese minister noted that the Armenian community of Lebanon is an important factor for the development of Armenian-Lebanese relations, including in the defense sector. The two ministers expressed readiness to intensify efforts toward deepening Armenian-Lebanese cooperation in the defense sector.
