Armenia, of course, disapproves of Azerbaijan’s arms purchases from Russia, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“Of course, we may not like the fact that Azerbaijan is buying weapons from our ally, who has made a lot of efforts as a co-chair of the Minsk Group, including in cooperation with Armenia, to preserve peace and stability in our region,” Nalbandian added.

He noted that Armenia has to make an effort to maintain a balance of forces.

“However, it is not Armenia that is threatening to unleash a new war, not Armenia is speaking about its military budget figures and the number of purchased weapons, not Armenia is violating the CFE. We saw what this led during the April events. It is natural that in these circumstances, we have to make every effort to maintain a balance of forces in the region and prevent further escalation, a new war,” he said.
