YEREVAN. - Parties and party alliances had to submit quite a large number of documents to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia and thus there might be certain shortcomings therein.

Chairman of CEC of Armenia, Tigran Mukuchyan, told the aforementioned to journalists on Thursday.

He recalled that nine entities have submitted nomination documents. “All the documents are being studied. There are separate issues on which work is underway with representatives of parties and alliances. There are cases when, say, certain document is missing. We notify about that, since we have a function, according to which the institute of immediate denial is not discussed in case of any omission,” Mukuchyan said.

In his words, certain time will be provided for removing the shortcomings but in case they are not removed within that period, decision will be taken to invalidate the registration of the respective party or the person included in its list.
