STEPANAKERT. – The statement which the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense (MOD) on Wednesday disseminated, and according to which the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) armed forces, allegedly, launched a sabotage infiltration attempt on Tuesday night but retreated to their original positions and having suffered casualties, is false.
The NKR Defense Army issued a message in this regard.
In the message, the Artsakh MOD press service says that the entire text of the “information,” which the Azerbaijan MOD disseminated, is fiction.
Furthermore, as per this message, by disseminating such disinformation, the Azerbaijani propaganda machine is attempting to somehow justify the fact of its own artillery shelling of the Artsakh military positions, on Tuesday night.
“The [NKR] defense army had no losses as a result of shelling by the Azerbaijani armed forces, and it continues to act from the positions of the enforcer at the frontline,” the Artsakh MOD message also reads.
