YEREVAN. - Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on Wednesday received leaders of 12 different communities, who ensured independent income growth of their communities in 2016 and plan to do the same in 2017.  

Leaders of Abovyan, Aygehovit, Basen, Vahan, Akhuryan, Sarapat, Urtsadzor, Amasia, Tegh, Meghri and Zaritap communities attended the meeting.

PM Karapetyan noted that the preference was given to these communities, since they had satisfying rates of their own income growth анд development programs, which inspire confidence.  ''We wish to discuss with you community development programs, what you expect from the Government and how we can provide support so that you continue working intensely and actively,'' the PM said, adding that already starting from the current year, the work of province governors and community leaders will be assessed according to new methodology and with much deeper analysis.  

''I understand very well that our farmer doesn't live well but we must together with you ensure discipline in our community, city and state. If you want to develop your community, you should precisely fulfill your functions,'' Karapetyan stressed.

The community leaders presented to the PM specific programs related to infrastructure improvement, energy-efficient lighting, introduction of electronic governance system, etc., which are aimed at opening of new jobs and ensuring economic results in the communities.  

Furthermore, PM Karapetyan instructed those in charge to study the programs and provide necessary support.
