YEREVAN. – After parliamentary elections the possibility of forming a coalition depends on the number of votes that the parties will get to enter the parliament,  said Education Minister Levon Mkrtchyan, the third number in the candidates’ list of ARF Dashnaktsutyun party.

According to him, the electorate of ARF supported them regardless of their being in power or not.

“If we take into consideration the situation in general, we will notice that our participation is based on ideology. On my opinion, we have good chances and we will play a big role in the parliament, if God and we want it to happen. And we’ll work hard,” Mkrtchyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Asked about possibility of forming coalition after the elections, the Minister replied: “There should be the results of elections, and afterwards the new parliamentary system will make force to move on with coalition formats. This depends on the quantity of votes with which the parties will enter the parliament”.

The parliamentary elections will take place on April 2.
