Blogger Alexander Lapshin’s new attorney, Edward Chernin, met with his client, the lawyer told APA news agency of Azerbaijan. 

The talk was held at the investigative solitary confinement in the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku.

Chernin noted that Lapshin had no health problems and, also, he had no complaints about his confinement conditions.

According to the lawyer, during the talk, his client said he did visit Nagorno-Karabakh.

A day earlier, Lapshin was allowed to meet with his mother, Bella Lapshina.

In December 2016, Israeli Russian blogger Alexander Lapshin was detained in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk. The reason was his being on the international wanted persons’ list, due to a search which Azerbaijan had declared. Baku accuses him of visiting Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) without its consent.

And on February 7 of the current year, Belarus extradited the blogger to the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku, where he was taken into custody.
