The Azerbaijani leadership continues attempts to mislead its own society and the international community, Armenian Defense Ministry said in a statement in connection with the attempted attacks, undertaken by the Azerbaijani armed forces on the night of February 25.

“On the night of February 25, Azerbaijani side once again made an attempt to attack advanced units of the Artsakh defense army. The aggressor was pushed back and suffered losses.

For several days, the military and political leadership of Azerbaijan were rising tension on the line of contact and dismantling misinformation. After the losses suffered last night, the Azerbaijani leadership rants about the ‘attacks’ of the Armenian side.

The Armenian side is committed to the ceasefire and urges the Azerbaijani side to refrain from steps aimed at further deterioration of the situation. The entire responsibility for the consequences of a possible escalation will fall on military and political leadership of Azerbaijan,” the statement reads.
