YEREVAN. – Armenia’s possibilities have been exhausted with the current economic policy and governance system, former defense minister Seyran Ohanyan said.

“This is a turning point for Armenia: either we realize seriousness of the situation, the depth of the challenges we are faced with, or we find ourselves in the face of real disaster,” he said during the first congress of Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance.

Seyran Ohanyan, former defense minister, is running for the parliament as one of the leaders of Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance.

Ex-minister spoke about the need in new elite, new economic policy and new atmosphere.

“Frankly, I was offered numerous high positions, but I refused. I do not have any personal problems with people who are a part of the current government. But I do not see myself in the current government, because we have different approaches,” he added.
