STEPANAKERT. – After the losses it suffered yesterday night in the directions of Akn and Martuni, especially since the bodies of five of them are still lying in the neutral zone, it seemed that the adversary [i.e. Azerbaijan] would draw a conclusion and refrain from the intention to artificially exacerbate the situation, at least for some time.

Senor Hasratyan, Spokesperson of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army (NKR/Artsakh DA), wrote the aforesaid on his Facebook account.

“But, no,” Hasratyan continued. “The Azerbaijani side, in accordance with its habit, not only continued—with invented information—feeding its own public, presenting that, as if, they hit one Armenian UAV [i.e. unmanned aerial vehicle] and one long-term weapon emplacement (ДОТ) on February 25, but, also, shelled the DA frontline and the nearby depth areas more than a hundred times, towards the end of the day and tonight, from mortars and long-range artillery.  

“After all this, sound logic suggests that we are dealing with a side that is not only deceitful and devoid of a sense of reality (we were convinced of this a long time ago), but, also, an enemy that has lost respect towards the dead body of its own soldier.”
