There is no movement in the Azerbaijani villages that are located in the direction of Martakert Region of Artsakh, and the population has left these villages behind and gone away.

Secretary of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh Republic) National Security Council, Vitaly Balasanyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I was in Talish and Mataghis [villages of Artsakh], all day yesterday [i.e. Sunday],” he said. “I, myself, was at the [military] positions which, so to speak, were occupied by the adversary—the right and left sides—during the events of [early] April [2016, when Azerbaijan had unleashed a large-scale military aggression against Karabakh]. I was there all afternoon; there was no shot [being fired].

“The [military] positions were calm, [and] the mood of the military servicemen—very high. We didn’t observe any movement by the adversary. In particular, we monitored the Azerbaijani villages. We saw virtually no one; there is no movement [there].

“According to our source-data, the population of the [Azerbaijani] villages has left, gone. I wouldn’t say that the [Azerbaijani] authorities organized [this]; people have left and gone. This is the ‘manuscript’ of Azerbaijani authorities, which doesn’t spare its [own] population.”

As per Vitaly Balasanyan, the situation is calm in Talish and the other villages of Martakert Region.

“In short, everything is normal,” he added. “The mood of the people is very high.”

As reported earlier, five dead bodies of the adversary are still in the neutral zone.

On Sunday evening, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group Co-Chairs issued a statement in this regard.

On February 25, the Azerbaijani armed forces had launched an attack attempt.
