Along the lines of the ongoing examination at a heinous crimes’ court in Diyarbakır, Turkey, the prosecution is asking for a prison sentence of up to 21 years, and on three counts, for Leyla Zana, a Kurdish member of the Turkish parliament.

The prosecution accuses Zana—an MP from the opposition pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party (HDP) of Turkey—of “being a member of a terrorist organization,” “participating in illegal marches and demonstrations,” and “praising the criminal and the crime,” reported Agos Armenian bilingual weekly of Istanbul.

Leyla Zana was arrested on February 8, 2017, but she was released on signature bond.
