YEREVAN. - The Armenian National Congress (ANC) and People's Party of Armenia (PPA) will consistently struggle for uncovering all the circumstances of 1 March 2008.

ANC faction MP Aram Manukyan said the aforementioned speaking at the rally held in Yerevan's Liberty Square in commemoration of the anniversary of the tragic events.

''During the past years we have consistently struggled for holding those guilty liable. This is an issue of dignity and honor of the Armenian people. We will continue the struggle,'' Manukyan said.

In his words, during this period they have been able to repeatedly voice the issue and introduce a bill. However, the authorities opposed it, thereby proving that they are the architects behind the tragic events.

The authorities haven't so far given reasonable answer to the simple question of the international community on what punishment was inflicted on those guilty, Manukyan stressed.

He added that the rally was not of a political nature and that the ANC and PPA representatives simply gathered to honor the memory of the victims.
