The Armenian TV star Hrant Tokhatyan joins protest in defense of detained opposition figure, “Food provider” Arthur Sargsyan, Tokhatyan told NEWS.am. He also participated in today’s rally in defense of “Food provider” Sargsyan.
“The youth who strikes on the Liberty Square does it at the expense of their time and health. They fight for the future of Armenia. Now the time has come for the adults to join these young people. This is the youth that does not merely fight on Facebook but takes the protest to the streets,” Hrant Tokhatyan said.
He stressed, that he fully supports the protesting youth, and he would also like to join the sit-in protest but cannot do that because of his performances.
A group of young activists participated in a rally and a sit-in in defense of detained opposition figure, “Food provider” Arthur Sargsyan, whose health condition got worse recently. Sargsyan has been detained for bringing food to an armed group who seized a police station in Yerevan last summer.
