YEREVAN. – Tsarukyan alliance started its campaign in Armenia’s Tavush region bordering with Azerbaijan because the development of country depends on the level of security, leader of the alliance Gagik Tsarukyan told reporters.

It is necessary to create conditions for a normal life so that the locals had no reasons to leave their native land, said Tsarukyan, businessman and the leader of opposition Prosperous Armenia party.

He believes the government has to support small and medium-sized business as the main source of income, and the first move is to reduce taxes.

“I was born in a working family. I have not graduated from Harvard, but I went through a school of hard knocks. You all know Tsarukyan: I do not need money or positions. I want to benefit the country. I do not like lies and deceit, I am for justice. The one who is to blame has to be punished, even if he is my son,” he said.

Tsarukyan alliance is one of the nine parties and alliances running for the parliament. The elections are set for April 2.
