At its meeting the Armenian-Russian Commission for Parliamentary Cooperation discussed Armenian-Russian cooperation in reopening the Byurakan observatory and involving it in the CIS scientific programs, Armenian Co-Chairman of the Commission told journalists Nov. 11.

He also reported that the meeting discussed the Russian participation in the international project of constructing a nuclear acceleration synchronizer. “We offered Russia to participate in establishing an international consortium to implement the project. I think the consortium will soon be established,” Safaryan said.
