The third round of Syrian peace talks began in Astana. A series of bilateral and tripartite consultations will take place on Tuesday, RIA Novosti reported.
Currently, the Russian delegation headed by special presidential envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev is holding a meeting with UN expert delegation led by Milos Strugar.
In addition, the Russian delegation also includes Maj. Gen. Stanislav Gadzhimagomedov as well as Director of Middle East and North Africa Department in the Foreign Ministry Sergey Vershinin.
