The Justice Department has charged three Russians, including FSB officer Dmitry Dokuchaev arrested for treason in 2016, for unblocking 500 million Yahoo accounts, reports Meduza. Dokuchaev’s boss Igor Sushchin and hackers Alexey Belan and Karim Baratov, who were arrested on March 14 in Canada are also charged on this case.
Dokuchaev and Sushchin used Belan to access Yahoo accounts, who was in the FBI investigation and fled to Russia, after he had been arrested in 2013 in Europe. FSB officers tried to enter the accounts of Russian journalists, Russian and US officials, employees of Russian companies.
