It is planned to make $45 million investment in Gegharkunik province.

Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), said the aforementioned at the meeting with voters in Gavar town on Friday.

The PM recalled that they expect overall $3.2 billion investments, nearly 830 million of which will be made this year.

“We are trying to implement 31 programs and open about 1500 jobs by the allocated 45 million. In Gegharkunik province we will work in the following development directions: alternative energy, agriculture, infrastructures, as well as ecopark and tourism.  We also plant to open “Sevan Dzuk”CJSC and legalize fishing so that the people maintaining their families by fishing can operate in a legal field. We will ensure their security,” Karapetyan said. 

PM Karapetyan is running the RPA campaign, although he is not included in the party list as a candidate. During his visit to Gegharkunik, he was accompanied by Justice Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan, Culture Minister Armen Amiryan and Director of Arbakir Medical Center, Ara Babloyan.
