As a part of the annual contest Pwn2Own, the hackers hacked Safari browser and Touch Bar of new MacBook Pro, earning a total of $ 62 thousand, reports Gazeta with a reference to MacDigger.

Safari browser were twice broken by the team led by Samuel Gross and Niklas Baumstark, and by the Chinese team Chaitin Technology. Gross and Baumstark received a reward in the amount of $28 thousand, whereas Chaitin Technology $35 thousand.

Tencent won the reward of $80 thousand for unlocking the Microsoft Edge, which is considered to be the most stable device to cyber-attacks together with Google Chrome. The award budget of 2017's Pwn2Own makes $ 1 million.
