YEREVAN. – A lack of information on Iranian culture is observed among Armenian society, said Zarmine Zeytuntsyan, Chairperson of the State Committee for Tourism of Armenia, at a press conference on Monday.

In her words, Iranians, on the other hand, live a very active urban life.

“Iranian tourists are very interested in cultural heritage,” noted Zeytuntsyan. “There is no place worth seeing, in Armenia, that Iranian tourists don’t visit.”

On March 21, Shiite Muslims—including Iranians—celebrate Nowruz, the New Year, and a large number of Iranian tourists prefer to celebrate it in Armenia.
