At least three soldiers and 11 militants were killed in the city of Tarin Kot in the southern part of Afghanistan, reports Xinhua.

"On Sunday evening several armed militants attacked the military base in Tarin Kot, due to which 11 attackers and 3 conscripts were killed," said state administration representative. "The attackers were the members of Taliban movement," he added.
