Byurakan observatory is the pride of the entire Armenian nation but having an observatory is not enough: it is necessary to have the first Armenian astronaut, who will not be an American Armenian, but exactly an Armenian national.
Candidate of the Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian (ORO) bloc, Raffi Hovannisian, said the aforementioned at the meeting with the voters in the Armenian village of Byurakan on Wednesday.
In his words, it is necessary to develop the economy, industry and agriculture of Armenia based on scientific knowledge. All this requires to also improve the educational system and give village youths an opportunity to receive scholarship for education not only in Armenia but also abroad given that they return to Armenia and work here after graduating the university.
