Several international media informed that the person who carried out Wednesday's attack in London was radical Islamic preacher Trevor Brooks, who is known as Abu Izzadeen.

But BBC reporter Dominic Casciani assured, citing numerous sources, that Brooks is still in jail.

He was convicted on charges of terrorist fund-raising and inciting terrorism overseas in April 2008, and sentenced to four and a half years in jail.

He was released in May 2009, after serving three and a half years, including time on remand.

In January 2016, he was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment for breaching the Terrorism Act by leaving the UK illegally.
